The Stable Boys, Columbia’s premier long-form improv troupe, is excited to bring fast laughs through the art of slow comedy to Talking Horse Theatre on Saturday, March 17. In this long-form improvisation show, you will see performers create an entire show that is completely made up on the spot. These performances are based on a series of scenes, inspired by the audience, that are connected by themes, characters, ideas, and physicality. The Stable Boys don’t just stop with long-form improv; at this show you’ll also get a taste of some shorter scenic improvisation that relies on audience participation, and you might even catch a comedy sketch or two written by the players themselves.
