Talking Horse and Maplewood Barn Community Theatre collaborate to bring this new play to Columbia in March! Nero Wolfe will do anything to acquire more orchids, even agreeing to put his eccentric genius to work solving a murder that baffles police. The secret is "in the red box", a dying man gasps out at his feet. The very first Rex Stout novel adapted for theatre gets its community theatre premiere in a joint Maplewood Barn/Talking Horse production featuring the corpulent, sedentary detective and all the usual suspects, plus handsome legman Archie Goodwin, cigar-crunching Inspector Cramer, and culinary genius Fritz Brenner. Can America's Sherlock Holmes solve two murders without leaving his office? Of course he can!
Show dates at Talking Horse Theatre will be March 10-12 and again 16-19. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday performances begin at 7:30; Sunday matinees begin at 2:00. The box office and house open thirty minutes prior to show times.
TIckets are $15/13 and are available by visiting our website, www.talkinghorseproductions.org, calling 573-268-1381 for reservations, or at the door, depending on availability.
