About Meg Phillips Crespy:
Two years ago, Meg debuted a one-act play, “One in a Million,” based on her attempt to navigate the health care system. Unfortunately, this is still a very timely topic. Based on her play, Meg wrote a screenplay for a short film version of the story, which will screen for the first time at Strange New Worlds. Directed by local filmmaker Benjamin Hedrick with original music by Audra Sergel.

About Audra:
After debuting her first album in 2017, Audra has had a renewed fire for writing songs that tell the story of the lives of those around her, the love they share, and the ways we come alive as humans. Featuring her band fellow musicians, Jackie Branscom and Meredith Hammer, Audra's work blends her jazz vocals and piano seamlessly with her love of indie singer-songwriter style. About Robin:
Robin will debut a collection of pieces written on the Gulf Coast, “Sea Songs.” The series is a poignant and delicate examination of home, family, creativity, and love. Featuring a modern combo of piano, cello, drums, and bass, the recorded product will serve as Robin’s sophomore EP, and will be available for pre-purchase.

About Anthony:

Rhapsody in Purple for solo piano and orchestra
Inspired by the famous Gershwin work, I wanted to write and perform a piano concerto for myself. I had several themes written in 2017 in similar style to Gershwin and other Tin-Pan Alley composers and I wasn't quite sure how I was going to use them. At the start of the year, I began to orchestrate these together in a rhapsody, an instrumental composition irregular in form and suggestive of improvisation. Instead of particularly jazzy harmony, I used more musical theatre approach and what I felt I wanted to hear in the harmony. So I changed the word "blue" to "purple," a symbolic color for the gay community in many Western cultures. A work written by a gay man for a gay performer is my flag that I've decided to fly, in this particularly divisive time for our country.
