Two American legends, Mark Twain and Ulysses Grant, sit on the front porch and try to make sense out of their lives as Twain urges Grant to write his memoirs to make up for Grant’s lost fortune through bad investments before he succumbs to cancer. Friendship, the tragedy of war, and the travails of writing are part of this imagining of a true event. Funny, moving, and totally absorbing, the unusual friendship between Twain and Grant comes to life in this powerful one act play.
Directed by L.R. Hults, and featuring Mr. Krawitz as Mark Twain and Mr. Myers as Ulysses S. Grant.
